Whoever wins the toss for this match has to bat.
I understand that Ponting would have just wanted to get the win away in the bank in the 1st ODI taking it seriously and bowling 1st. Hopefully with the 1st one under the belt he will win the toss and bat 1st and the aussies hopefully will make a big score.

unfortunately Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat so we cant see the aussies batting out there full 50 overs and getting over 300.
Bangladesh again in trouble at: 7/132 after 40.4 overs.
Hogg has his best ever figures 3/22.
Bang made 147.
Boof got the last 3 wickets.

An Improvement on yesterdays batting performance by Bangladesh but still not good enough getting under 150.
Wickets for the Aussies:
Lehmann 3 wickets
Hogg 3 wickets
Bichel 1 wicket
Harvey 1 Wicket
Symonds 1 wicket
Lehmann also got a direct hit run out.
The Aussies should be able to get the runs nice and easily.
BTW, Gillespie was dropped for Harvey. ponting said: We giving everyone a go.

Michael Bevan, you selfish excuse for a human being !!!!!
Hardly hits the ball off the square for the entire innings then proceeds to rob Damien Martyn of possibly the fastest hundred by an Australian by smashing 2 fours with 10 runs to get
What a class act !!!!!!

I know if I was bevan I would have got off strike and let him try and get that hundred. He ended up with 92 runs off just 51 balls. Great to see him back. His 1st real innings and look how he goes. He continues his form from the World Cup Final. Man of the match.
Bevan finished with 40 off 62.
Australias run rate was 7.28 and they lost just 1 wicket.
What a THRASHING.

He didn't even have to get off strike. He could've just seen out the rest iof the overs he was on strike, guaranteeing (sp?) Martyn got the runs. I know its a team game, and thats what Martyn would say publicly, but I bet he was spewin' just a little bit privately. As EagleBlue said, he didn't even look like playing a shot until the last couple of overs. Probably thought he was a chance for a fifty! ****er!
I can't stand Bevan, the sooner he retires the better.
Good to see Martyn getting some runs, and quickly as well. I was a huge critic of his slow scoring at the start of the year, but he looks like he is returning to the Martyn of old.
