Definately a chance to finish at least 5th or 6th with Frankston, Coburg and Williamstown to come. Although they are going to have to hope either Tassie or Springvale drop an extra match because of the percentage difference.

Nice Stuff by Bendigo.

Copped a bit of a scare in the final quarter but played well considering when these 2 teams played each other last time earlier this season Bullants THRASHED them.

Maybe a chance now....

Wind had way too much of an impact on today's result. Not to mention ill-discipline by Matthew Allan late in time -on which ultimately resulted in Rob Forster-Knight kicking the sealer into the wind.

Barnard was BOG up unitl half-time when he came off with a jarred shoulder after a courageous mark. Johns twisted his knee, and also came off at half-time.

Hall kicked 4 goals, and was BOG for the whole match, with nearly 30 posessions. Other best players were Forster-Knight, Cail, Carter and Brown.

It's rather ironic that both teams were doing ****, we bring a heap of kids up to the seniors & drop some older guys, and now they're both winning! *shrugs* Don't follow the VFL closely, but great to see! :)

Go the Diggers :d (or whatever theyre called)

Do us proud youngsters, and hopefully we can find ourselves some more quick roving youngsters of the Shane Harvey type, as that would be the one ingredient needed for us to have some September success in years to come.

Bendigo BOMBERS :)

and yes, they certainly are going VERY well.

Unfortunately, I'd expect them to be without Teddy or Johns next week, but they might gain the services of a Brownlow medal runner-up who can show those kids how it's done.

Bendigo are playing some impressive football. Being Essendons new affiliate club has definatly been a factor, as has Ports success. Though Port Melbourne was always a respected club they are now being driven by Roos youngsters in McInstosh, Grima, Urch, Hale, Watson, and others... We may not be an AFL Premiership favourite, but VFL I would say a Port appearance looks likely. Does anyone know weather they put VFL Grand FInals on Free To Air before the AFL Grand Final? I bloody hope so!

The VFL GF was shown (I think) about a week after the AFL GF last year.

I saw it up here live on Fox Footy, but I'm pretty sure it was the ABC Melbourne feed anyways.

I still remember the game, as Geelong won the flag my sister (who is a Geelong supporter) was celebrating the Cats finally winning a flag of some description!

As part of football tradition, the VFL Grand Final now, much like the VFA Grand Final in the past, is played the Sunday before the AFL Grand Final.
