Note the headline though, he's doing it with the bat rather than the ball when he needs to do it with the ball.

I reckon he can do it with both !!
Went and watched him last Saturday playing in the local District game, and I wouldn't have wanted to face him. Granted I only watched the first 3 overs, but he was bowling fast and the 1st grade boys were not handling it well.
He's our matchwinner IMO !!
Its not the Punter anymore, its Mitch !!
If he gets consistent in this upcoming Ashes series, watch out you Soap Dodgers !!! :-)
And how often do you hear that Batting confidence transpires to bowling confidence.

Doesn;t quite make up for the fact that Watson, Katich, Punter, North, Hussey, Khawaja, Hughes and Ferguson all failed with the bat today!

I honestly believe if Mitch fires we win, if he doesn't then sadly the urn heads back to England. He is our only real X factor TBH, sure he may have a shocker but he is a genuine game breaker.

Very encouraging signs. Johnson's worst cricket is pretty bloody average but his best cricket is among the best in the world, and he can genuinely turn a match. Would be awesome to see him get back to the form from the South Africa series.

Unbeaten century and 5 wickets before the first test, good to see at least someone's hitting serious form ahead of the Ashes for us.

It would be ironic if after all the shit, the positive press for England and the doom and gloom for "worst side in 30 years" Australia, Mitch comes out and goes batshit South Africa insane on their batting order to blow them away. It's career defining stuff for him this ashes, both in terms of how he'll be remembered and where his long term future will sit. That's got to be nagging at him, I just hope it has the effect it typically does on an Australian - eliciting a higher level of performance.

I thought you were all soap dodgers.
Mitch is the best player out of the 24 by the length of the straight.
