Without a doubt this weekend's game against Adelaide shapes as the single most important game of the year for us to date. Win, and we've just knocked off a top 4 rival, reinforced the 'house of pain' myth, and put ourselves back in the hunt for a top 4 spot. Lose, and we'll be sitting on the fringe of the eight, with a significant amount of poor form and mental baggage going into the final three rounds.
I'm convinced that this game will decide where we are at the end of the year. We must win this game. Just to make things interesting, though, but this will be about the first time this year where I'll go to a game not thinking we're a good chance of winning. We're severely shaken in confidence, taking on an Adelaide side which pantsed us earlier this year with three of our super six midfield out, not to mention Wirrpunda. If we can win this, it would be a truly awesome, character building win which would give the players enormous confidence after yesterday's debacle. In any event it shapes as the biggest challenge of this team in the last two seasons. I hope the club treats it as such.

Watching how we respond from the saints game with our key players out will be very telling i'd say.

Probably the real litmus test for our team.

Hope we come through it with flying colours - we have in the past - hoping we do on saturday again.

How about Jako to bring back the memories?

Who will pick up Roo, Macca & Birdman?

Reckon Stinger is a cert for Cuz.

Judd will get some close attention. My pick is Torney, but could also be Edwards or Shirley.

Totally agree but I think we can do it. Woosha will definately have a huge crack at the players this week and Im sure they'll come out fired up (hopefully!)

After a performance like that you'd expect 3 players to get dropped, but who for? Humm and Munro again? Maybe Wilson? WC are in trouble this week. Adelaide are peaking at the right time, whilst we're in a slump. Need a hell of a good game from Cousins, Judd and Kerr (remember him??).

Yeah, but if any three guys can win a game for us, then these three boys can!

Same goes for us.

Your injuries are pretty bad but that may just even up the home ground advantage.

We shall be missing Stevens Welsh and Massie from our best side.

I am hopeful but certainly not confident

Should be a cracker.

They didnt perform the way they had to with regard to the players they were missing. I dont expect them to put in another performance like that.

I'm not going to let go of my belief that umpiring is pro vic and Giescen will orchestrate how the game is played. Basically they would love both Adelaide and WCE to end up with bruised and injured players, to advantage Collingwood in the finals (as if they don't already have a huge advantage).

So ignore my insane ranting above but remember my predictions. The umpires will "let it go" and it will be a very physical game.

According to channel 10 news last night, Adam Selwood will make his debut this week.

Woosh said on Sports Today (6PR) last night that Selwood, Chambers and Munro will all come into consideration. He was asked about Callum Chambers, and he was very deliberate to include Selwood and Munro in his reply. Also sounds like Adkins will be back in the WAFL this weekend.
