View Full Version : Two Towers DVD $50 RRP!!
Just noticed that the Lord of the rings dvd that will be coming out later in the month has a RRP of $50, and a couple of retailers are advertising it for $40, pretending like that's cheap for a dvd or something!
Unless JB stock this for $30 or less I won't get it. I refuse to pay $40 or even $50 for a dvd. how ridiculous.

I'm with you on that one. I still think $34.95 is a rip off at HMV...
..although I will buy the Monty Python collection for $55!

Funny how things change, I remember paying $50 for a double CD 15 years ago and thought nothing of it.
$50 for a high quality copy of a movie sounds cheap by that comparison but now we are used to picking up DVD movies for less than $25.
It will probably come down in price but if I was to buy that particular movie I'd wait until all 3 are released as a boxset.

It will be $32.xx in the first week of sale at the major department stores, than the following week it will go sub $30.
Personally i'll be holding off and waiting for the EE from Canada, only $45.

You can download the dvd screener off the net that will probably have a better quality than from the Phillipines :D
Ha, not wrong on (to) many occasions. This one (and strangely enough) the Fellowship were both excellent quality.
So guess who aint complaining! ;)
