Well this is a horrible week.

Irvin Kershner, best known as the director the best Star Wars movie ever, The Empire Strikes Back, passed away today aged 87. He was also known for directing Never Say Never Again and Robocop 2.

Empire was a great film - if only he had bitchslapped Lucas for the prequels he made...

I bet Dickie Wilkins is all over it :o

Lucas tried in vain to copy what Kershner did in Empire thereafter only to come a dismal last.
