Will post more on Brad once the footy actually starts (was overseas during round 1 NAB Cup so can't comment on his game).
In the meantime...more Pia:

2 goals from Brad on Friday night against Port.
Thought he was OK without being the terrible that a lot thought he was. Did some nice things and did some crap things.
I still think he will play 8 to 10 games for us this year.

Was in action for Coburg against Werribee at Coburg City Oval today and kicked a handy bag of five or six.

Led well and took some nice grabs too.

Love the guy. Thought he was good tonight. Just something about the way he leads out, attacks the pack and takes marks looks so much better and more experienced than when the likes of Vickery or Post do it. Happy to see him in the team for the next little while. Good to have a 2nd full time tall target too.

Our forward structure definitely looked better with him playing
Needs to convert his chances better though, should have had 3 goals 1 at least, not 1 goal 3

Exactly what you'll get from Miller each week.

Gives it all, does everything you'd expect, but won't tear games to shreds.

Thought he was good last night. Has some presence, which some of our kids don't have yet. Still only 27.

If he can carry that sort of form through the year till Griffiths hopefully finds some form then he will have been a very good selection. Playing the kind of role that the dees would have found usefull this year I would have thought.

Playing some good footy at the moment. Hitting packs hard and doing one percenters. Jack walks that little bit talled with Brad wandering around. Has been a good pickup and is still only 27 or 28. Far from washed up and on borrowed time.

Unconfirmed reports quote Brad as saying, "it's awesome to be playing for a big Melbourne club". Our source says Houli and Grigg were quick to agree.

I am disappoint when watching the replays that they don't do any crowd shots of Pia...

Honestly, looking through many threads on this board, all I can see is people bagging Miller. I think he is OK, he isn't great, could be a tonne better, but Richmond would be worse without him. In the four games that he has played, he averages 12 possessions, 5 marks, 3 tackles and overall has kicked 3.6. Not a bad effort. His kicking accuracy for goals is shocking, but that can always be improved.

Miller provides an alternative for Riewoldt and Vickery and watching him thoroughly, will notice that he works hard to provide an option for the ball. I'm not saying that he is going to be a star forward in our next few years, I am plainly stating, that picking him up was a good decision for the short-term amount of time that he is at Tigerland.

Griffiths is still recovering and Post hasn't proved himself too great at Coburg. Just give the old bloke a chance.

provides good forward structure and another option. is playing his role well, if he can convert better it will be a bonus.

His role is to take some heat off Jack and Ty, lead to the ball, make a contest and if he can score a goal or two. He's doing that now, so good on him.

Personally however, once either Griffiths or Post get some fitness/form, I would like to see him make way, I think that's the harsh reality of where he's at. Simply for the fact that those guys are part of our future and he probably isn't. I don't mind him in the side now, but would hate to see him play the rest of the season if it meant it was keeping someone like Griffiths from getting a game. I believe that's how Hardwick sees it too, and will make that decision when the time is right.

Was really skeptical regarding his trade prior to the season starting, as I thought his inclusion would only delay the growth of a Vickery/Post/Griffiths.

Seven games into the season, and he's been exactly what we needed to help take the pressure off Jack.

All he has to do is provide a contest and at worst, bring the ball to ground so that Nahas/King/Houli, etc can feed off him, which he has done brilliantly over the last 2-3 weeks.

A better prospect than either Post or Griffiths at the moment.

The inclusion of Pia to our WAGs fraternity is appreciated also.

A smart, relatively low risk pickup. Still young at 27, has a big body and some smarts. Won't dominate games but gives us structure and size up forward. Definately a win on this pick up!!

Pia is a bonus!!! :thumbsu:

Interesting that many posters are lamenting his enforced omission this week. I wonder how mahy of you lamented his recruitment in the first place?

Feel bad for the bloke that he missed out playing in such an epic win, but now you have to wonder just how easy it will be for him to get back into the side.

We MUST get Brad to 100 games, only because it will give us a chance of having the best looking person in the history of mankind on our list in about 20 years.

Sure is MrBB. Would love to see Brad have a win against his old club this weekend, with him laying the smack down on a few of their backs. I'm thinking a 10+ goal win, and him kicking 6 to make it all the sweeter.

Plus you need it to get some cred back on Bay13.

Maybe stay on the rookie list for 1 more year, then move to a coaching role.
