Anyone here this? Apparently we have shafted him!

Does anyone know anything more about this? Would hate to lose him as he is great representing us at special events etc.

The Wiz chucked a big spaz when he wasn't named in the Team of the Century. Apparently believes he should have been at FF instead of Plugger. Cutting off his ties and apparently spending more time with the Lions.

I was there, and trust me, he would have been too ****ed to even have made it up onto the stage to accept his guernsey had he been named!

Also, whatever made him think there would have been room for him in a team with the record holders of most goals ever and most goals in a season? He was flashy, sure, but nowhere near the class of the named players!

Oh ... no!!! How will the Swans ever manage without the valuable contributions of an idiot like Capper? If I were a Swans fan I'd welcome the news.

Capper was a good player for Sydney in the 1980's, but when you consider Pratt and Lockett, (both champion goalkickers) were also competing for the same positions in the Team of the Century, someone had to miss out and in this case, it was the Wizz.

Did he at least make the interchange bench or emergencies??

Nope.
I don't think he should have been in there. THere have been a lot of Swans greats, and really he doesn't rank all that highly.

One of the interesting things I found about your Team of the Century was the number of players who'd made their name with other clubs...

Gerard Healy - Melbourne
Greg Williams - Geelong and Carlton
Tony Lockett - St Kilda
John Rantall - North Melbourne and Fitzroy

Lockett went from being probably the most hated opposition player, (after what he did to Peter Caven in 1994) to being a favourite in the space of just one year.

Williams definitely made his name in Sydney, winning a Brownlow medal.

I would also say that John Rantall played the majority of his career with Sydney. 260 games, still our club record holder.

Lockett was a different player at Sydney, and made a new name for himself.

Healy won a Brownlow at Sydney.
