Looks to be a very tough week @ the selection table
Players that might be holding there breath about being dropped would include McGrath, Haynes, Mercuri, despite all putting in acceptable efforts! There are many knocking on the door of the senior side such as Harvey (fingers crossed:p ), Ken Hall, Johns (promised a game B4 finals), Richards, Rioli and Henneman. However i would be suprised if a tall was brought into the side (disregarding injuries), which leaves Harvey and Hall. Both were close last week so it should be interesting to see what Sheeds goes for!

(Could we please get this stickied!)

Haynes will play to shove it up the club that got rid of him.

Hope Cory get's another go - he impressed - and we need his type with Rama out.

Yeah good - Cory will be out for Rioli for sure.

I reckon:

IN: Rioli, Johns
OUT: McGrath, Haynes/Mercuri

Is it really possible that Richmond can hold us to 5.12.42 or lower again? Is it possible that we can play as worse as we did the last time we played? No.

Is it possible that Lloyd most likely will kick 5 or more goals to better our previous total score against Richmond? Likely.

Is it possible we could lose to Richmond twice in one year? Extremely doubtful.

Should we win this? We really should, but you never know.

Agree with this... and it makes finding room for Rioli very difficult.

Sheeds does have a habit of playing people against there old clubs, or possible future clubs.

I'd like to know how many times McGrath has been brought in to play against Freo or West Coast.

Possibly wrong but I thought Richmond picked up Haynes from Essendon's reserves, which would mean he's simply back where he started.

Well then he'll have to shove it up both teams :p

In so far are Rioli, Henneman and Harvey.

Got a feeling Joey will miss for Rio. As always i'm hoping Harvey gets a gig.

Johns still on target for R22...

I'd like to know how many times McGrath has been brought in to play against Freo or West Coast. There is no identifiable correlation between McGrath playing against Freo or WC, but interestingly when McGrath is brought back into the side it is usally against an interstate side.

In 2002 he was brought into the side for the Adelaide game. Then he was brought back into the side when we played Port in the finals. This year he was brought in for the Freo game in rd6, and also for the Adelaide game in rd15. He has played interstate teams 13 times in his 25 game career.

Last week against the Bulldogs he came on at the 20min mark of the 2nd qtr and finished with 15 disposals and 8 marks. Very good effort for a little over half a game of football. I wish Sheedy would just give this bloke a fair crack at it for once. I don't see why he can't take Mercuri's spot in the side. There's just no point playing Freddy anymore with the vain hope that he will return to something resembling his old self. He is a cripple, it aint going to happen. McGrath is a quality midfielder and in a team with little depth in the onballer dept it is time this was recognised before we lose him to another team.

too many times!

Would be surprised if henneman got a game this weekend since Hille and Ses both played well last weekend. Richmond's talls are also very experienced and we would be better off with Ses this week. Surely Harvey would not be brought into the side only to be dropped at the last minute again would he? Hopefully not, but its hard to see who could be dropped to make way considering the performances last week!

Ces, Haynes (doh) and Harvey out...according to 3AW.

Can't understand dropping Ces who played alright especially vs such a tall team as Richmond.

At least Cory gets a game though.

F*CK! Harvey and Haynes especially deserve to have a spot, Ses played pretty good on the weekend too! At least we know that we have a lot of guys in form at the moment
