View Full Version : TV Australian Stranded (Survivor Online) - Official Thread
For everyone who's been involved in and loved this competition, feel free to discuss anything here!
For people who don't know what this is:
Australian Stranded is an online version of Survivor. It is played on a personal forum, where contestants can strategize privately (in PM's) and talk to their tribe mates publicly. Contestants are given the alias of an actual Survivor to prevent them from forming alliances outside of the game. They are not permitted to reveal their real identity until the game has finished.
The game usually lasts for 25 days. Typically it requires 1 hour of your time most nights in addition to random intervals throughout the day in which you should check back on the forums to see if anyone has sent you any Private Messages.
The challenges happen live every other day and can sometimes last up to one hour. Usually more than 1 person per tribe can help participate. The challenges range from puzzles to tribal dynamics.
No events are mandatory. You may pre-vote for every tribal council by leaving the vote in the designated voting thread before council.
Anyway, I'd love it if some of you were interested in playing in season 2.

To be fair, I did like the 24 hour challenge. Helped that we had the only West Aussie in the game. Late nights we had the advantage.
And for what it's worth, I absolutely dominated the game. Was right up there with the best strategic games of all time.

Pfft, the jury were all just bitter. What's a bit of lying and backstabbing in a game of Survivor? They should have recognised my dominance.
Yeah, but Chris, you're forgetting that no single player has ever cast four votes for themselves in a jury situation.
Mario Lanza says it well. There is only one objective in Survivor - to get a majority of jurors to vote in your favour - THERE ARE NO OTHER OBJECTIVES

I think mainly cos everyone liked Fabio due to Nicaragua :p

I'm definitely not going to reveal the biggest secret/twist. Might reveal some others closest to the start date, which at this stage is Jan 23rd/24th.

For any future players, I would stongly suggest not playing an overly strategic game. I find jury members can be very bitter and hold grudges, even if you did dominate the entire game.

dominate to me, generally would mean that you won.
if you want to stab two of your closest allies in the back, i wouldnt expect votes from them :)

Kenny summed it up well. Through the game, you did what you wanted, when you wanted. Sorry big man, but even if you did play an unbelieveable game, playing the game without any respect or acknowledgement of the jurors will make you the best 39 day player in history.

I don't know. Most of Bora hated me XD I guess it's because I took the mickey out of them by complaining after challenges. They were the first ones to do it and we said we would go anal on the rules. I went harder than the others at it.
And apparently Jimmy didn't like me dancing around TC questions even though others were worse than me.

As for Kenny, I dont know why we all hated him. I dont even know why I hated him. If he had made the final I probably would have voted for him to win, but Sugar would definatley have gotten more votes if she hadn't taken Erinn.
Playing a strong strategic game includes being strategic about bringing the right people to the end. :thumbsu:

No, I meant that Tyson would be the most hated out of the top 3 that Sugar would choose to bring.
I didnt include myself because theres no way she would have brought me with 3 Bora's sitting on the Jury. :thumbsu:
I saw Brenda's results - she put herself down as the nastiest player. Make of that what you will.
Sugar should've gotten me out with her idol at the F5 - I wasn't going to play my idol - Kenny knew taking Na Onka to the Finals was suicide so he wasn't going to do that either.
