I've found a few old records in the basement and there are some gems amoung their ranks. I would like to convert them to the computer and then to a cd or whatever's easiest. Has anyone done this and if so what is involved in the process?

Also, I use dBpowerAMP for ripping CDs, and it's got an optional module [dMC Auxiliary Input] you can use for recording to your PC from an external source... http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
