Just thought I'd start a thread for any comments on the game coming up this week.
I can't think of anything. Anything nice that is.

Of course, you will have the opportunity to watch the best team in the league, so porbably worth a visit to the ground just for that. Unless MW decides to practice running down the clock again. I wonder if you can do that against Richmond, given that Richmond's game plan involves running down the clock from the first bounce.

Going over for the game, cant wait! If at any time you fancy meeting up and saying hello, just say the word. :)
Looking forward to seeing those such as Richo [I WANT A DUMMY SPIT!!!!!], Rodan, Coughlan, Krakoer [sp?], Kellaway etc in action. Hell, maybe even Fiora and the infamous Pettifer ;).
You're probably looking at an out an out belting this week. At least I hope so. We havent really smashed anyone out of the park all year and I'd love to see it happen. Either that or we'll win by 20 odd points and you'll be in it until 3/4 time.

But we'll play like we have a force 10 gale and kick 5 goals for the game.

Any chance that choco will rest most of the senior list so at least we might have a chance... although be it small.

The last Tigers' game i went to was your win against the Bulldogs and the reason i went (as with most Richmond games that dont involve North) was to see Coughlan play footy. He didnt disappoint, but the highlight was easily Richo's game, but in particular his little wave after he was awarded a mark late in the last qtr. So c*cky, so confident and like it was all pretty easy.
I was already laughing, but when he went back and fluffed the shat from all of 25 metres out dead in front, i seriously had tears rolling down my cheeks!
Always good value is The Boy.

Hah. I'll call him Dynamite from now on then. :p
Broges and Wakes are probably certified a rest this week. Chocco's probably planning to tinker with the lineup a bit - thus we might see Thurstans, Poulton, Cassisi, Guerra, Kingsley [*shudders*] and Morgan get a game, we'll probably have a few we want to give some time off so they're [and if you'll excuse the use of this wretched cliche] 'cherry ripe' come finals time.

Although Richo has been much critisced this season its interesting to note he's now equal with Chris Tarrant as the leagues leading mark taker despite missing a few games.
Agree he's always good value though.
You'll see richo taking contested marks
You'll see Cogs giving his all and putting his body on the line
You'll see our undermanned defence battle all day but struggle
You'll see Newman keep whoever he is on quiet
You'll see Krakeour make the most of his limited chances (hope he kicks straight)
You'll see Rodan out sprint the opposition over the first 10 metres then confuse them as well as most of our side with what he does next
You'll see Fiora continue his corner turning of the past few weeks(and catch the eye of a few port people back home - make them think maybe its time he came home)
You'll see Ottens play some good footy but then drop the odd mark that he should snaffle.
You'll see Johnson put a good game in.
You'll see Holland either do diddly squat or take three strong marks and kick three goals
You'll see Stafford try to recapture some of his form of earlier in the season (that hammy must still be worrying him)
That is all that will be worth seeing from us - there will be a few laughs as well, but welcome port supporters to melb, you have not played us here sine 30 May 1998.
And guess what you have never beaten us in Melbourne. maybe that might be something that might make us pull something extra out - plus this is a classic dead rubber for you guys.

I have done some careful research into the matter and have calculated that Richmond will beat PA by 25 goals (due mainly to the closeness of Mars to the earth), and Beav/Carlos will be in the Divvy van before three quarter time.

I can't think of anything. Anything nice that is. I'll be sitting in a hospitality box for the first time! That's probably going to be the only thing nice about the day.

I'm predicting we'll get up by 5 points, Choco will be criticized for his tactic of throwing the game just to "wake the team up" before the finals, and Frawley's contract will be extended by 2 more years because "we are on the right track".

And Pettifer will kick 4 or 5 goals and be rewarded with a lucrative 3 year contract.
