Its time the Tiger membes stood up and were listened to for once.

If Frawley stays there should be a boycott of memberships in 2004.

This is the only Tige supporters will be heard.

Arent you guys sick of being the rabble of the AFL for 21 years now?

Firstly, I think the management of the club are in no doubt as to where the feelings of it's memberships lie.

Secondly, for me not to buy my membership again next year would be like cutting my nose of to spite my face. I have no doubt I will still be getting my membership next year.

All I can really do is have faith in the stewardship of Greg Miller to get the onfield operations running as they should.

You must be a Carlton supporter to advocate Richmond people boycott the club. Yeah right, that'll show them you're not happy. Well, we'll be a lot unhappier if by not buying our membership the club goes out of existence. Sorry, but i'm buying mine again next year.

Yes.... and you can ad at least another year to that.

Many of us see the futility of spuds appointment beyond this year however i think the club will honour it's contract regardless.

God knows how we will fair come next year with memberships. I expect the worst with a substantial number of members voicing their disgust by not renewing .

As for me... i will renew my membership despite these turbulent times.

A membership boycott will only lead to financial problems and make matters worse, not better.

I dont care if Johny Holmes comes back from the grave to coach the Tiges, I will still support the club and buy a membership. Then again I have yellow and black running through my vains

While you may not wish to boycott, you could send a message by delaying renewal till a bit later than normal - just so the club don't get it in their heads they can do whatever they want. Or even send a note saying you'll renew after you receive a statement of the club's strategyfor the next 3 years.

I buy my membership at family day in march each year....
I have been doing it for the last 26 years...i don't see reason to change that....:) :D

Boycott is such a dirty word, reminds me of a English cricketer.
Why not a good old fashion protest ?
To late to arrange this week but if we get flogged against Port, all Richmond members should roll up to the Hawthorn match with paperbags on their heads to hide their shame. Maybe the Cheer Squad can sell paperbags and help a charity and turn a negative into a positive. It would make a funny spectacle and might just be the slap in the head our club needs.

You have to support the club even if it was years of wooden spoons.

I think it was Nut and I that wanted Frawley's head on a pike early last season. I still feel the same way.

....uhm, I do apologize for the things I said about his mother though. :o

Peace,

Peace,

Noble thought, but the club administration have to work on the assumption that people won't - because experience shows they don't.

When the club treat members with disdain (eg. the usual drivel they pump out) the only thing some people have left is to not buy a membership - or delay it - or downgrade their level.

Sometimes it's not even a protest. The AFL is a product, Richmond is one of its brands. If the product Richmond has for sale sucks then people won't buy it. You'd have to say that at present you get very little the $140 or so dollars.

If you really love Richmond -and Frawley and some others stay next year- you will NOT renew your membeship.

Simply renewing year after year like a sheep, while watching a coach and players who obviously couldn't give a hoot about the club is detrimental.

It is approving mediocrity.

It is saying to the administration that you are happy with being losers and will pay up like a fool each year.

A boycott will wake them up and will make them realise that Richmond fans no longer will accept being mediocre and more respect toward the member is needed before they get the hard earned cash.

3-5 years of rebuilding and missing finals is understandable.

20+ YEARS OF CRAP IS INEXCUSABLE.
