Hi guys.
Can anyone tell me before game time if the weather is as bad over there as it looks in the forecasts?
Appriciate the help.
Thanks.
Christo.
Yes, its been pouring rain for much of the first half, and it doesn't look to suit us at all. :( It did die off though late in the second quarter.
It was three goals to one before the rain set in. Since then the Kangaroos have dominated in general play. They should've buried us but for atrocious kicking in front of goal. (I'm tempted to say... reminiscent of a certain Grand Final.) We've missed some gettable ones as well, but not nearly as many.
The Kangaroos have beaten us everywhere except the scoreboard - they've been harder at it, getting more numbers to the ball, their disposal has been better, etc etc...
Also, I didn't watch the pre-match - I was watching Essendon-Freo instead. Why was Edwards a late withdrawal? With him, Bassett and Hart out, that's pretty much our first choice full back line gone. I think he would've been suited to a day like today.
Disappointing first half. At least we're in front. But we really need to turn things around if we're going to win.
Well as expected the Kangaroos are now in front. The only surprising thing is that it took them until late in the last quarter to do so.
The flow of the match continued like it was in the first half. The Kangaroos have just been ferocious at the man and the ball.
We got a bit more supply up forward, but the delivery was poor and they flooded back and easily worked it out on most ocassions. In stark ontrast that to the Kangaroos' open forward line...
Even if we can reverse the flow of this match with a big last quarter comeback; a la the Bulldogs match. I think it's fair to say we don't deserve to win it.
I've been nervous about this game all week. That nervousness is now just pure frustration.
Ho hum, we lost. What a surprise. I've already said everything I needed to say except for...

Dave, from what i saw he had a few mates not to mention the ones who hardly even seemed to touch the ball.

The weather was so bad today, every where in Adelaide it was just horrible. I was out at NAP Oval with a Maggies fan today (I know, I know!), and it was just shocking.
I hate August.
