A sad day for all Tiger fans. Such a legend of the game, he seems to have been around forever. His passing in many ways highlights the great era of the game in the 1930's, so powerful has his presence been in the football world.

My late father was a staunch Tigers fan all his life and many was the time he proudly cited the greatness of Captain Blood. Can't help but think of Dad as I know he would have been greatly distressed to know that the great man was gone. When Dad died we put his Richmond jumper in the coffin with him and I am sure a part of Captain Bloods spirit went that day as well.
