Fitzroy Football Club are not currently competing in the AFL.

Therefore it is a testament to the visionaries that brought about the inception of the 'Fitzroy Football Club' board on Bigfooty.

If there was any religion that truly could be completed by a on online medium, it would have to have been the order of the holy Roy. The Roy has always been the most integral component of footy, and now even more so following its exit from the brighter, nay, garish, scene that is AFL.

What incredible vision to see the that the Roy has not removed itself from us, but instead risen above us.

Now a God. The holy trinity. The Roy, the lion, and the betatted Brockhurst.

More easily accessible than the elusive Book of Royacles, this board signals the coming together, the completion, the oneness, of the grand Roy design.

'We are one.
But we are many.
We are Roy.
Fwoar.'

Ahh, Brockhurst..yes. Speaking of tattoos, I'm sure the late Les Parish is looking down & smiling too.

Thanks to Olmy for suggesting this board in the 1st place.

I'm sure Fitzroy supporters have a lot to do with the huge number of posts on the Brisbane Lions board as well.

Ahh yes, Brockhurst! I remember Ablett kicking about 9 on him in the early 90's, I think it was. He never really got a run after that one.

I am not exaggerating when I say how pleased I am that this board has come to fruition. Supporters of other clubs may not realise just how passionate Fitzroy fans are about their club.

Then again, no other AFL team or their supporters have experienced quite the same events as we have, as Fitzroy supporters. No other group of supporters has seen their team walk off the ground for the last time, having gone through all the pain that Fitzroy did in its last few seasons in the AFL.

(Without wanting to be disrespectful to the Bears and South Melbourne supporters who could also claim similar experiences - I think that each case is a little different http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif ).

Sure, you can cry when you lose in the GF, or preliminary final, or even when you play your last game at Vic Park, but it's not the same as seeing your club as you've known it, for the very last time.

LONG LIVE THE ROYS!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say glad to see you are still here and kicking... one of my downest days was down at the junction oval when your boys pasted us by 150 points... anyway hope you don't mind me saying hi...

If I sound patronising I don't mean too..

BTW I always like Fitzroy and have always hated those in Queensland...
