Date: 24.5.86
Venue: Victoria Park
Opponent: Essendon
Time: 8 mins; final quarter

Geoff Leek: "Aw, that was great stuff...Clarke across to Wood, now the pressure's on the Bombers, they'll be a good side to get out of this; 11 points behind...oooh, what a mark to Pekin, or is it Blakey? Then across to Graham Osborne; the Lions are really running hot; a beautiful kick down to full-fOsborne again!!! What a mark! Climbed up there, he went up before acceptances; the anticipation was superb...that's gotta be one of the best marks we've seen this season, and Osborne having a sensational final term...he's kicked two goals...already kicked one in this blistering opening to this final term. This'll be the fourth goal for the quarter for the Lions…and he's got it! What justice! A super mark, sensational mark! And that's his second goal in this final term; three for the match."

Doug Heywood: "Well, that was, Geoff, there's no better mark taken today than that one; not many better marks taken anytime, and his teammates are rushing downfield to congratulate him. And as I said just a few moments earlier: Wouldn't he drive a coach to despair at times, but certainly, he'd drive a coach to elation when he does those sort of things!"

Fantastic. This is really bringing back memories. Ossie was on fire in that last quarter. It was also Jimmy Wynd's 1st game in the seniors.
