I think Bill should be Coach of TOC and the Baron Captain, with Kevvy v/c, but apart from those the rest are mighty hard to pick (except HB)

Chick was Victorian Ballroom dancing champion ( partner unknown ) and was known to sprint up Brunswick St to training in his dancing pumps. Nice look.

Percy Parrat would have to be favourite for the coach's spot. How may premierships did the Roys win under his reign? There was one back-to-back, I think . . .

Percy Parratt coached the 1913 & 1916 Premierships.

Our only other Premiership coaches were Vic Belcher (1922) & Fred Hughson (1944). We didn't have coaches for our other Premierships.

Kevin Murray will most likely get the captaincy gig. Still, it's a class field, the (4) nominees for the captains. I was surprised to see G.Wilson wasn't amongst the nominees in this area. Does anyone know if that was a miss-print??

Ron Alexander was a terrific captain too, yet isn't on the list. I reckon he was a better captain than Wilson, although Wilson was a better player.

At last, some form of public recognition for Fitzroy champions! The likes of Roos, Murray, Bunton, Rod Walsh, Conlan, Osborne, Ruthven, aahhh . . . there are too many to name!

And I think his response to the AFL might have gone something like this:

"No Fitzroy - No Walsh!".

Possibly Olmy, but there'll always be a Fitzroy.
