I am fuming...I just spent two hours typing out everything you needed to know about getting to Geelong. Transport, Ticketing, Fun, Food, Atmosphere, Previous experiences, etc
I pressed 'submit', and it asked me login (despite already being logged in!). Then directed me to write a new post. Hit the 'back' button, but she was all gone. Not happy Jan.
Anyway, here's a brief summation of the bare minimum.
In addition to what is said here, check out http://gfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=stadiums for any further information on Skilled Stadium.
Tickets:
http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/CGI/outsider.plx?CAMEFROM=AFL01&GOTO=https://ticketing.ticketmaster.com.au/cgi/afl/matchinfo.asp?aflround=22&home=Geelong&away=St.Kilda
Seating - $8 (kids) to $22 (adult) - Book at Ticketmaster or purchase at the ground.
Standing - $2.20 (kids), $10 (concession), $17.50 (adult)
Moorabbin Wing will be in the Standing Area, presumably Bay 19-20 (on the Moorabool St side), which is the closest we can get to the wing position.

Transport
Parking - 1000 spots at $7 each. You can also park in surrounding streets, should you arrive early enough. At most, you'll have a 5-10 minute walk if you opt for free parking.
V-Line has trains departing for South Geelong from Spencer St on the hour, every hour. South Geelong station is barely a Xavier Clarke punt away, and every train goes to South Geelong on match day, despite what is said on the wesbite. V-Line has confirmed this for me. http://www.vlinepassenger.com.au/timetables/southwest/vline_glng.htm - is your timetable list.
Cost: (Return) $20 Adult, $10 Concession.
Food and Drink
Food is availble at the ground, and very close by. There's some good pubs in reasonable proximity, and some excellent eateries if you're willing to drop into the CBD. Like anything though, it's expensive. Bring something from home if you're dollar conscious.
If anyone is driving down and can spare some seats to some fellow Sainters, stick your name down below and remember - the more St Kilda fans, the better! Likewise, if anyone is willing to get together a brigade of train-travellers, you might like to co-ordinate yourselves into the same train to/from Geelong.
Hope to see you all there for what should be a memorable victory!
"A true test of the passionate supporter is if he or she makes the annual trip to Geelong for the footy!" Evertonfc to his non-travelling friend, circa 1994.
Amen to those words!
