What do you guys think???

I believe that if Schwab loses this last game he will struggle to be reapointed as coach next year.
All his good work over the 2nd half of the season will be undone if the side goes down to a very ordinary Richmond.
Hard justice i know but i just cant see a coach who is fighting for his job losing the last game to 1 of the worst sides in the comp and still be able to coach.
However if Hawthorn finish of the year with a win it leaves the supporters with some hope and belief for next year, this win will go along way in deciding Schwabs future.

Thoughts people??

It would be absolutely stupid to make a decision based on a meaningless match. It's got to come down to weighing up the woeful first half of the year, and the inconsistency of four seasons, against the promising end to the year, and player support. THis weekend is irrelevant in all ways.

Thats the way it shoul be done, but in reality very rarely will it turn out like that.
Coaches are just like players and have to prove them self each week and i bet you 100 bucks that the same will be done with Frawley this week.
If Richmond win then it will deffiently work in his favour and could just tip the scales for him and his coaching carrer.
I would just about be shaw that if Hawthorn loses i wouldnt be suprised if Schwab lost his job, this of course shouldnt be the way it is but it happens all the time in football.

Eade last year is a very good example, the guy took the swans to countless finals apperances and even a GF but in the end got the sack because of some poor results. Now did the Swans take into account all the good wins and players he has brang and developed at the club??? no, and thats the fact of football.

I know its wrong but that is reality.

cheers

I rather lose 100 bucks than have to be Tony Shaw for even one day. Good luck.

Peter Schwab should and will coach in 2004. I will be very disappointed if he doesn't, I think he's the right man for what Hawthorn needs.
