I forgot catches (duh)

Most: 3, fielding at Slip and gully

Best bowling witnessed (in a match I was playing): 7 for 7 including a hat-trick (bowled by a year 9 student in a school match...a bowler we thought was crap...because we always smashed him in training)

Proudest Moment: Not getting out on a hat-trick ball

Best Moment: Playing a Grand Final...

Worst Moment: ...losing that Grand Final

Most Common way of getting off the mark: The well placed nick through slips.

How about hat-tricks? Anyone taken one?

I've been on two in my career.

First time I stuffed it up badly, the second time it was actually a team hat-trick because the guy looked a bit jumpy and wanted a quick single. A direct hit from square leg had him walking!

HS - Juniors - 40 v Lower Eltham u/16
HS - Seniors - 41 v Diamond Creek E Grade

BB - Juniors - 4/25 v South Morang u/16
BB - Seniors - 3/3 v St.Francis of Assisi E Grade

I simply can't crack over 3 wickets in C grade as I played every game there last season and the BB in seniors was my only game in E grade the year before. :(

My highest score in juniors was quality as I came in at 8/25 or so and me and another guy got us to 137 and we won by 30 or so. I was playing the sheet anchor role of basically hitting every ball to fine leg (was a wet day so no danger of swing or movement off the pitch) and the other bloke chanced his arm a fair bit.

I remember batting one day (juniors and seniors in the same day) and I batted in both innings for 0 balls faced! I didn't get to face a ball in the juniors game and then in seniors I was the last man in and got run out by me juniors coach with 4 runs needed for victory! :( DIAMOND DUCK!

Luckily I have never ever gotten a golden duck - 9 seasons :D

I have actually done some things of note on the cricket field...I've got an under 12s premiership  and that was in the same team as Peter Francis's son (former Carlton player) and in under 14s I won a game outright off the last ball of the match by hitting a 3 (the bastard wouldn't hit the fence!).

Hopeully this year under former AFL umpire Ray Kelsey I can further my career.

My stats last year were 13 wkts @ 23 and I averaged 9.50 with the bat.

Oh yeah, and I play at Eltham. :p

My best bowling figures of 5/6 (posted above) included a hat-trick though only one of the batsman was really that decent the other two were basically hacks.

Got the first one bowled and then the next LBW both with the same type of delivery. Just bowled it straight and hoped and got lucky they really were pretty ordinary deliveries from a pretty ordinary bowler.

9-15 off 22 overs - and we still managed to lose that game. Thata track would be best described as a sticky wicket.

've been on a hattrick about 15 times... but never taken one. I've had two of which some knob has dropped the hattrick ball, once at 1st slip in U/11's and again, the keeper in U/16's dropped a regulation one. if i never take one i will hunt that keeper down :p

Ive been on a hat trick 3 times missed all 3 chances there was one real chance to get one the bloke hit it in the air and wasn't hard at all to catch and 3 fieldsmen converged and each thought t was the other ones. After that i was ejected from the field for bad language. I was pritty worked up as you do for a hat trick and to see it go down was too much, i used the f and sh*t word about 20 times all told i was extremely ****ed off.

Also proud of: Totally bamboozling our captain (also our best batsman) at training with my part-time leg-spin bowling. I was bowling into a very strong breeze with my usually totally innacurate leg spin bowling hitting the spot every time, tricking him with the huge amount of spin I was getting...as well as my wrong-un and my straight ball. He was really struggling. I got him out a heap of times. :D :D :D

(no I don't care that it was at training...that is the only place I ever get a bowl!!)

Greatest cricketing achievement would have to be making 110 not out off 42 balls in the second last league game I played in England, 100 of them came in boundaries. The ground was fairly short square and this young lad kept coming in and trying to knock me out and I kept hooking and cutting him for 4 and 6.

Highest Score is that 110, have another 2 100s here in Oz.

Best Bowling is 6/15 in a representative game.

In our A grade grand final last year, I bowled 32 overs, 4 for 90, took 3 catches and made 66 and we lost the game by about 130 runs.

Anyone in here play Country Week in Melbourne last year?

Last time I played competitively I was 12 or so, so I can't really remember.

Would've only made about 9 runs. My bowling figures were more impressive though. I'm pretty sure my highest in a match was 4 wickets. Seeing as though we only got to bowl 2 overs each a match, I was happy!

Make that 8 now, I was on a hat trick on the weekend, but, didn't get it. I bowled pretty crap actually, and the only 2 wickets I took were in consecutive balls.
