I heard the theme song today and it started with these words..
"WE’RE THE PRIDE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
AND WE’RE KNOWN AS THE ADELAIDE CROWS......."
and it is the version we hear on the website too.
The one we hear at the game and generally elsewhere goes...
We're the pride of South Australia
We're the mighty Adelaide Crows.
So which one is correct - which words do you sing??
BTW - is there anywhere you can download the club songs off the 'net?
Yours in any emergency,

Yeah they've tweaked the current club song a couple of times since it mercifully superceded the old Camry jingle.
Personally I sing "we're the mighty" because it sounds harder than "and we're known as". I don't know, maybe the club is trying to protect itself from false advertising - after all it's easier to be 'known' than 'mighty'...
Hang on... 'Admiration of the nation'... I smell a law-suit.

I think the later version you mentioned was the original version, but it got changed by Sanders to the former version you have mentioned.

So it is meant to be the 1st one yuk - I don't like it! - I much prefer the " MIGHTY.... CROWS ..." too
Yeah the 2nd line is now We're known as the Adelaide Crows
But I think the 8th line is still We're the mighty Adelaide Crows

I think ALL club songs were similarly 'tweeked' a couple of years ago, when the AFL (and their bloody lawyers) realised that the songs were not copyrighted to the AFL. As the previous versions were in the common domain....they had to change them slightly to be able to apply for copyright. Hence the change in our song.
Well, thats my story, and I'm sticking to it!
FWIW, I still sing the 'Mighty' version....always have, always will.

Well, thats my story, and I'm sticking to it! The reminds of Kerry Packer making one ever so slight change to the laws of cricket for World Series Cricket.
Although probably sort of the reverse thing happening there.
