Dance Me To My Song was on Optus recently. I had the video for ages but never got around to watching it. In honesty I didn't get the chance to see the whole movie the other day because of housework commitments, but from what I saw, he's done it again.

Rolf has also put together Bad Boy Bubby, The Quiet Room, Dingo, the Tracker, and Incident at Raven's Gate. He's got a new one out shortly Alexandra's Project which sounds just as good.

Don't let me be mistaken, I consider Rolf to be one of our foremost directors. He takes enormous risks, which is more or less the exact opposite of a James Cameron-esque filmmaker.

Dance-MTMS casts an actual cerebral palsy sufferer in a cold, traumatic role of very serious connotations. This is no "I Am Sam" or "Struck By Lightning", where either the disabled character is "acted" by a known actor without disability, or the script is flippant. Its a very dark movie on the psychological side.

The guts Rolf employs for DMTMS is like a new and more courageous splinter from Bad Boy Bubby.

Its very difficult to watch, but I suggest anyone who wants to be challenged, to give it a try.
