Actually, this was an excellent team performance all round, especially with NO bench in the last quarter. I couldn't spot a player who didn't put in for the whole match.

We wanted good 4 quarter performance and we got it.

The question is ......at what cost?

Curse that Telstra Stadium.

If we don't get the 3-peat, we can look back on season 2003 as the year that one venue cost us very dearly, both in terms of close losses, but more importantly in terms of disastrous injuries.

3 votes – Luke Power – Four quarter contributor. Seemed as though he was everywhere. A crucial midfield cog next week. At least he won’t have any Brodie buzzing around bothering him.

2 votes – Ashley McGrath – Was gonna give him 3 but he got a bit full of himself in the last quarter trying to get 7. Tried to kick the miracle goal when the team thing would have been better. In the end he was shifted down to defence maybe to emphasise that point. His one man effort to chase down Robert Murphy, tackle him, gather the ball and goal in the 2nd quarter is worthy of special mention.

1 vote – Darryl White – Shapes as a wild card for the finals if he can produce at his best. He’s probably past it as a key defender but can probably still play loose man in defence (which he performed well on Saturday night) or as a link man or winger through the midfield.
