i have just received in the post my fitzroy membership renewal, in the letter it is hoped that brad boyd and jarrad malloy will be present for the AGM if that happens it will be a great night!
will the idea of a stand alone v.f.l team come up?
the letter also makes known of a fitzroy website. www.fitzroyfc.com (http://www.fitzroyfc.com)
which is currently being worked on

Yeah I'm considering making an appearance.

It's usually a good night!

If anyone gets the chance to ask, at the AGM, I'd be interested to know how much the Club feels it would need to field a competitive VFL team.

It was on Monday just gone (26/3/01) at the Bowling Club at Edinburgh Gardens (Brunswick St Oval).

I like your Rodgerson reference to Fitzroy, RoysOnly http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

AGM news

Held at Fitzroy Bowling Club Brunswick ST.
Approx 50 present for the meeting.

Reported a small profit and discussed the new problems occuring in regards to the West Brunswick Hotel and obtaining a poker machine licence under the new government.

The is no prospect of entering the VFL again in the near future under any alliance after the debacle that Coburg turned into. Plans no work around the posibilities of moving forward within the VAFA. The problem with this though is the period of time need to get Fitzroy reds up to a higher division, currently D3 and promotion will take five consecutive years to reach A grade.

The club does hold the domain name rights to set up a website which they plan to have up and running before the end of the June.

Round 1 for Reds is at Richmond Central (Church St Richmond).

There is still some life in the old lion yet.
