Original Thread Title = go reds!

last saturday i watched the fitzroy reds in preseason game.
sitting in the fitzroy grand stand over a picture card oval the fitzroy reds demo the hawthorn ams with precision and grace.
just makes your heart beat to see the fitzroy jumper and to here the club song at the end of the match.
they tell me that the 4 or 5 best players did not play so we should be a match for any side in d3.
so can't wait for season to start.

Well, if you'd ambled past the Brunswick St. Oval about 1.00pm on Sunday , you would have heard the stirring strains of 'We are the boys from old Fitzroy ...', as 18 10year olds trooped off arm in arm back to the Home changing rooms under the grandstand .. after a SENSATIONAL come-from-behind, against-the-wind victory. Most of the kids were in their NEW Fitzroy jumpers - wow basically - complete with the FFC monogram all in the new fabrics and they looked fantastic. A couple of the kids had not played 'big time' footy before and to win first up ... well, you can imagine that filed away in 'memories for life'.

We all had a great time - thanks to the Fitzroy Juniors organisation and all the kids.

Hi Gregtri,

Are you going to the practice match this Saturday (7/4). Another game at Brunswick Street, I look forward to seeing the new-look Reds in action.

sorry to say i will not be able get to fitzroy reds match this saturday but if you could please give us a up date of the match it will make a fitzroy man very happy!
