View Full Version : Australian Idol...
What a pack of hypocrites those judges are. At the start of last Sunday night's episode Holden, Marcia and Dicko all crapped on about needing to "raise the bar" to find a "world class performer" and then proceeded to verbally obliterate a handful of competitors - who were awful.
Then with the last performance of the night came Lauren... looking like a fawn in the headlights she proceeded to butcher one of the greatest songs of last century... paying an altogether pedestrian tribute to John Lennon's Imagine.
After she completed her audition to the Guild of Mundane and Mediocre, I expected nothing less than another round of tears and tantrums as another wannabe was to be put in her place - but to my surprise and chagrin the judges raved about her and she went on to win her heat as Australia again voted for rubbish.
Thoughts?!
I think it's a pile of shyte.
Any reason why none of them aren't playing any instruments? They all seem to be singers, and (god forbid) ****ing dancers.

I decided to give australian idols a chance but ,yes i agree the judges are the biggest pack of w.ankers i have ever seen.Hines seems to have this mssive chip on her shoulder and dic.ko is a moron. He is trying to be a hard prick but he is just coming across as a moron
I cant see why that fat dude that was crying(geez that was funny:D )had to get kicked off.Why cant the singers go and drum up support for themselves by talking to the media????
All in all Australian Idol is a joke, and there isnt any contestant with a ounce of talent.I would rather watch reruns of "I love lucy" than that shi.te
I'm with you Dyertribe.
I thought that group 4, who performed on Sunday were very ordinary, except for Cle. She has a great voice and is quite confident as a performer.
It was a shame that this group wasn't split with the group in week 3, as the group in week 3 had a lot of talented singers who missed out.
But at the end of the day, the majority who vote are teenyboppers who rate image and looks far above what the competiton is all about. Just watch the 'boy band' types go all the way in this:rolleyes:

Agree 100% Dyertribe. I thought that at least five people in Group 3 were better than ALL of Group 4. It really did annoy me when Lauren comprehensively butchered Lennon's famous song, and still got away from ALL 3 judges!!
These judges have had a prejudicial liking to Lauren since day one when she came into the studio with her mummy. I have nothing against Lauren, but a bit of consistency in the judging would be nice. I'm certain the comments of the judges influenced the audience vote and inevitably lead to Lauren becoming a finalist.
If I was one of the members of Group 3, I would protest. They were fantastic and 6 of them missed out, Group 4 was awful and two of them got in. Go figure.
