According to Channel 10 news, Essendon members have taken just 600 tickets from their allocation of 4000. The remainder will be released to the public, with the total number available just on 14,000.

Wooooo.....look out for the Bomber army.....

I think the fact it was scheduled at 6:40pm WST on a friday night made it untennable for most melbourne based essendon members to get there. The latest flights on friday that gets there on time is at 12:20 EST, which means if I wanted to go I would have to take firday off work and spend a quarter of the weekend travelling. For most melbournians it is at least a half hour trip to the airport, checkin 1 hour before the flight, a 4 hour flight and then half hour Meaning 12 hours out of 48 is spent travellling. 3 hours at the footy 16 hours sleep, and 20 hours of leisure time.

Not really enough time to get value for paying 500+ for the flight.

I'm not complaining just a deterrent from going over. It should be a good match to watch on tv over here and I'm glad that channel eddie isn't broadcasting it otherwise we probably wouldn't see it live here in melbourne.

A question for all you WA people whats the weather like this time of year and when does it get dark? Is it going to be the first twilight finals match? Is it gonna be light for the first quarter and dark for the last three? Might make it hard for the players to adjust.

Sorry to disappoint you Rob, but that was just the Eastern States supporters, the WA members here have all bought tickets, I bought mine tonight with the other WA Bombers, tomorrow all the non member Bombers are getting their tickets.

Wait until you see how many of us are there friday, our cheer squad will be louder than yours. :p

And how many of you were at the House of Horror two weeks ago? One block of seats behind the goals (which was half empty) was not exactly a great turn up for your club.

Besides, not all of us will be in one spot...........

Telling supporters of a W.A. team about the hassle of travelling ..... welcome to the real world.

I think you are under estimating the sound even some quite reserved Freo fans can make, god help you when the "ferals" wind up.

Seriously, if that's true, then where did all the others get their tickets? Other than the allocation to Essendon FC (who no doubt sold many through to WA supporters) and those that snatched some in the hour or so they were available today, i'm not aware of the finals tickets going to anyone else.

So there's going to be 40,000 shockers fans up there with very little to cheer about. It'll just make a better spectacle of people flooding out.

Lets just be glad that Freo's first finals campaign will be mercifully short.

Tossers

Face it, the Bombers shouldnt bother coming, you have an absolutly pathetic record away from Melbourne this season and our subiaco record is perfect.

You guys can't 'sugar coat' the slow players that you will bring to play on the expansive Subiaco, the biggest ground in the league. You will be run into the ground. If I remember correctly last time you were over here we kicked 8 goals to 1 in the 3rd Quarter. You had died in the a$$ by half time!

As for the arguement about the supporters, for christ sakes stop embarresing yourselves. You will be lucky to get 2000 people, against the biggest Fremantle crowd ever. We will be heard in the city.

Right on.

Bombers fans are trying to pretend that they know EVERYTHING to do with finals footy. Especially as this is our first finals series, they're trying to make it as if we know nothing about it. I can't tell you just how wrong you are. The game tomorrow night is just another game. Yes, it is a huge game, yes, it will be much more intense, and yes, it is a final. But in the end, it is just another game of Football. Just like Round 6 {Fremantle 20. 11. (131) def. Essendon 15. 10. (100)} was just another game.

Get it through your heads that the Dockers know exactly what they're going to do...get it through your heads that you have met your match.

But you Bomber fans will never be told...you'll just have to wait until tomorrow night won't you ;)

DOCKERS ALL THE WAY!!!!! :D :D :D

That is correct . Essendon are woeful away from the Dome , they are even worse in finals away from Victoria.

Wouldn't have been many more than 600 there. There were 3 small clumps, one behind the goals and 2 on the half forward flank on the 2nd tier. Certainly not as many as what i've seen at Essendon games in Perth before.

We might have got a football lesson, but the rest of the league got a lesson in what real passion is all about.

Was impressed by your mob after the game, also by Connolly sending the players out and his press conference, He's a good coach.

A lesson in passion? Perhaps an example that it also exists out west.

Good luck next year.

To whoever it was I was talking to after our last game against your mob, I watched last weeks game, and that style is far more watchable that the one the week before. You've got some good young kids there, they just need time to mature.

Damn proud of my teams efforts, not bad for a mob who get dizzy catching a tram (;))
