View Full Version : Trade Teaser
In today's Herald Sun, there was a trade teaser invloving Jeff White and St. Kilda.
The deal was:
Jeff White in exchange for St Kilda's first pck (#8) and Heath Black.
I would do this deal in a second.
What are your thoughts?

I'd prefer Raphael Clarke, but then so would you.
#8 for Jeff White is a no go never mind Heath Black as well.

My thoughts are that the author of that particular piece would have to be a Melbourne supporter.
Fat F**king chance is my second most immediate thought.

St Kilda's 1st and 4th Round Picks + Heath Black + Jason Blake.
For Melbourne's 1st Round Pick + Jeff White.
Everybody wins!
Hmmm...actually....we're giving away a fair bit there....give us a mid-late draft pick and we'll call it a deal?

Jon Anderson is a Geelong supporter. (Which probably says a lot anyway ;))
I'm very much interested in White but also wouldn't entertain trading away our #8 pick.
A second round pick and an average player perhaps. Jeff White is not the same player he was as evidenced by Melbourne playing Jolly before him in the second half of the season. They've declared their own hand by doing that, they can't suddenly expect a team to pay top dollar for him.

Saints should take the deal. They need a good ruckman if they intend to win a flag.Think flag not clarke.

If Melbourne fail to make any headway with trading for Jeff Farmer, it may be worth St. Kilda looking at off loading the little hot head Steven Milne to try and get their hands on Jeff White.
Both players have probably achieved about as much as they are going to achieve at their current clubs and a change of scene could be the best thing for both of them.
Plus, Melbourne is obviously trying to get someone to the club with some spark and flair and Steven Milne could well be that player, not necessarily reliable, but reliable doesn't draw crowds or increase membership numbers!
