The comparativey culturally superior, comparatively grass-roots oriented, comparatively supporter-focused league doesn't start until next week, and (probably due to easter weekend) there were no practice games.

The Roy was crucified many more times than was Christ, so it takes Him an extra week get up again http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif (I've seen blokes with simple hammy injuries take longer).

We play Richmond City next week in the opening of the round, Saturday Arvo (observing religious practice) at Richmond's ground, which, I believe is just a little north of Bridge Road, on Church Street. One small pavilion, not a grandstand in sight!

Actually I dunno if other VAFA clubs had any practice matches this weekend, perhaps no-one was game to play us after our recent 22-goal drubbing of North Brunswick.

With scores like that, its no wonder the Reds are respected as being walk-up starts into the AFL competition.

Luckily, the club has too much compassion for its supporters, to jib them in that way.

Frodo, I'm surprised you're so willing to come on here, after the pastings you've copped regarding your stance on the Roys board. I wonder if some of us have to have a go on your board again . . . just to settle the score . . .

Obviously you had to wait until WCE had a win, to post that one . . . therefore, it's highly unlikely that we can expect another similar post in the near future!
