Heard Vossy doing a voiceover (should that be Voss-over) for a radio ad campaign down here in Melbourne for MAgna-vox stereos (or something like that). Thought it was interesting as he opened with "Hi its Michael Voss here from the Brisbane Lions..." for an ad broadcast in Victoria.
Is this ad also broadcast in QLD. Interesting cos:
a) probably only a Vic ad. Shows his universal appeal to the football world....
b) do you reckon they've got in early cos they reckon he'll win the Brownlow? Interesting foresight maybe?!?!?

Why not have the most respeccted player in the AFL promote something. There are Victorian Brisbane lions supporters so it works both ways.

I agree. But down here your more likely to get Crawf or Buckley. Sheer numbers tends to indicate that if it was a "pick a player from a popular club in terms of numbers", for Vic they'd pick Coll or Essendon... shows how respected he is by all I guess.
I do reckon they've thought that Vossy will win the Brownlow, so if we get in early we'll get him cheaper cos his value will go up if he wins a second brownlow...

He's definitely a popular and well-respected player Australia-wide, very fair and people love watching him play. So that could explain part of it.
As far as the Brownlow part goes.......definitely possible!!!! I guess we'll know in a couple of weeks. ;)
