This club will be playing in a Grand Final within the next three seasons. I have a very, very strong feeling about it.
Okay, so in the end Fremantle may have not been that strong a side. Doesn't matter. We did something nobody else could this year; win a game in Perth, and in convincing fashion.
Frankly, I think we're almost good enough to get to a Grand Final this year, but we won't because of our disadvantageous finishing position. Had we played like this all season and not just since the bye week, we would have been a top four side with a double chance and at least one home final.
This is a little like 1981, a little like 1992, a little like 1998. Except those teams all went out in the first week. We all know what came next in each case.
If we play our cards right, manage our list well, and stay fit and healthy, we will be playing for a premiership within three years. Count on it.
