Collingwood won their "premiership" tonight. We won't be playing them again this year, which is a pity. I'd much rather beat them in the Grand Final, but it looks like it'll be the Bombers turn again this year.
Adelaide and Port won't cause us any difficulty in the next two weeks. Pretenders, both of them.

Don't know about that.
Brisbane looked to have quite a number of strugglers tonight. Lots of players carrying niggles & injuries.
A disappointing loss coming of a raod trip where you got only 7 golas, versus a team that kicked 16 goals for 56 point win, its biggest ever margin in AFL finals.
I'd say Adelaide had a show next week at the Gabba.

you've got a fantastic side there, but wouldn't be so over confident with all your injuries atm.

Yeah, you should win in a canter next week. If I were Leigh, I would rest your top-6 players next week (ie. Fab-4, Lynch & Brown) as they won't be needed. ;)

Yes but let's also consider that the Crows had a home game, against lesser opposition. And for the best part of 3 quarters, we led Collingwood - injuries and form aside.
I certainly think the Crows have a chance against us, but we're definitely still in with a good show also. :)
And YAY a home game!!!!!!

For our game the weather was by far the better. For Brisbanes game it has been raining in Melbourne today and the conditions were a bit slippery.
Secondly, the Crows-WC game was not a flooding affair. it was more of a free-flowing game where as Brisbanes game was the one of who could flood more. Both teams used HEAVY flooding tactics. Thats why the scores were so low.
I think Brisbane are favourites fro this match and deservedly so.
Before we blow our trumpet about todays win lets take the game on its merits and as such realise that WC are not much of a side and have NO spine. Brisbane on the other hand has KPP to trouble us at both ends of the ground.

I live in the inner Western suburbs, and I can confirm that it was definitely raining here during the afternoon, and prior to the match. I'd be amazed if it wasn't raining 10 or so km away. ;) But then again this IS Melbourne so anything's possible. :o Was heavier in the early afternoon than the evening as far as I saw.
And that ends my weather report. :p

There was some light rain for about 5-10 minutes, a half hour before the game.

It did rain. Also, it wasn't half an hour before the match, it was ****ing (enough to make alot of the crowd move undercover) down when the teams were doing their warm ups, after running onto the ground before the start of the game. It would have been, at most, 15 minutes before the actual start of the match.

Yeah have to agree with you there. Port are just chokers and the Crows have five or six good players, but the rest of them are 'dead wood'.
Over here they're going on about McGregor being back in the side against Brisbane. He is a s*** player, too slow and no brains. Anyway good luck against the Crows, they were lucky last week, West Coast were just terrible.
Also, I haven't really been keeping up with all of the Brisbane injuries or anything like that, but why hasn't Brennan been in the team for more games than what he got at the beginning of the season. I know that he was out for about 1.5 - 2 months, but how is he. Looks to be a very confident young player and a beautiful left foot kick.
Once again, good luck.
