Had three serious opportunities to really put Collingwood away, and all came to naught. A shot on goal in the first quarter (albeit, outside 50m, but within his range, and no angle), what should have been a 'gimme' in the second quarter (out on the full), and a tough but gettable shot in the third (which he put into the man on the mark).

If Brown had nailed any of these, especially the ones in the second and third quarters, we really would have had Collingwood on toast, with the increase in lead being significant at those points in time.

Apart from that, he played a very good game - just disappointing that his scoring efforts didn't reflect this, as it would/could/should have won us the game.

i agree, far too many wasted shots on goal

but you cannot say it was these shots on goal that losed the lions the game

pies had 1 goal 6 behind in the 3rd quarter

if we got 3 of those behinds as goals, it would have been a done deal as soon as the 4rth Q started....just look at the way collingwood attacked

That's true, and Collingwood's inaccuracy could have cost them the game, although, the Lions as well, did attack 'enough' in the third quarter, but didn't capitalise once taking the ball inside 50m (Brown not even registering a score when he hit the man on the mark, for example).
