Thanks to Martin Flanagan The Age Sunday for a good article on the Fitzroy Redz and the FFC,the juniors even cop a mention more positive press needed and maybe this will be the catalyst to get the place swarming again with the Maroon and Blue (or Red and Blue as is)scarves and jumpers etc.

It was a fine piece of journalism, by one of the best at the Age newspaper.

I wish the Reds the best of luck, although I now follow Tatura and Murchison, and can only read about the Reds on the internet. I'm glad that the support is there to make Brunswick Street ROAR again to some quality football.

John Anderson also gives the Roys a mention in Monday's sport's liftout.

He likens the first three rounds to that of the old VFL, with Fitzroy playing against traditional rivals Richmond, South Melbourne, and Hawthorn - all in the traditional VFL jumpers!

I reckon the Reds have the opportunity to grow in profile. It's a great day, going to watch the Reds at Brunswick St. - I reckon people will be hooked.

Hopefully, even the doubters will give it a shot.
