View Full Version : I'd rather we played Port than Sydney after the way they played today

Just from watching the game, Sydney were playing like they were posessed, and Port just looked plain pathetic, barely a shadow of their home and away incarnation...they just can't handle finals pressure, and they're going to collapse because of it. I'd rather we played today's Power than today's Swans. Damn those Swans...
But what about Port...three top 4 finishes including two minor premierships in the last two years, and they look less and less likely to win a flag, and the media have the audacity to call US underachievers.
Time for another Power failure, this saturday night.
Should've stayed with us, Wanga ;)

We're almost Port's bitches since late 2001 - they love playing us. I've found it hard to rate Sydney all year, so i guess i was looking forward to playing them - but maybe we're due vs Port.
btw love the sig :D

I've just got the feeling that every time we've played Port since 2001 we've seemed to have had players out or injured. Earlier this season we were without Hird, Lloyd and Fletch (The holy trinity!!!!). In the 2002 semi Hird was injured, Fletch was banned and Lloyd was out. Earlier that same season Hird and Lloyd were both out...AGAIN!!
We're playing this pack of chokers with a full team this time. Lloyd's in form, Hird is red hot, Fletch we've got our fingers crossed.
On top of that, we've got McPhee blasting off half-back, Solomon's back from last year, Cupido on a good game can tear any team to shreds, Hille is as good as he's ever been...and we've got guys like Haynes and Bullen who add another dimension to our midfield.
We can do it! :)
I've heard that Fletcher hasn't played in the last 5 meetings against Port. Will it be a 6th??

This is just about the worst result possible. We have to face an angry, humilated and embarrassed Port, AGAIN.
I don't expect anything less than a red hot go from us, but we won't win. The Port we saw today never shows up against Essendon. We always get the other Port. We always catch them on that one day a season that Tredrea figures out how to kick straight.
Why do we always get punished for our good wins?
****.
They sure make it awfully hard for an 8th placed side don't they.
nah sydney limped over the line in the end yesterday. They woulda struggled to back up next week.
However, we are in good form and seem to be very confident. We simply need good conditions and we will give it an almighty shake next week.
50-50 game IMHO at this stage.
