It's been announced on the Opeth website that they will be coming back to our shores in December in support of "Damnation". If there last concert here was anything to go by, this is a must see event, although I'm guessing the songs will be much more slower than earlier in April.

No dates set yet, but it's awesome to see them coming back! :D

I could handle that, as long as they come out here again! Their last show was nothing short of awesome! They are one of, if not the, best live bands in the world!

Just so you know, their Tour is 'delayed' until march....Supposedly flights to Australia are too expensive...

Excellent! I've been hanging on this. The gig at the Corner was a great experience, definitely one of the best live shows I've been to.

It's good to hear that after all the rumours flying back and forth for months, that there is confirmation. I can't wait!

Any idea when tickets go on sale?

Because it has been delayed till march some time, it will be a while before you will be able to buy tickets. Its all good for me though - I won't have to go buying a plane ticket at peak price...

Hopefully the tour won't be all the mellow damnation songs. I mean, 75% of the opeth songs I like are nice mellow songs, but there are some insanely wicked heavy + mellow songs as well - Black Rose Immortal, By The Pain.., etc. etc. etc.

Also, they are trying to organize a Perth concert as well, which they weren't originally going to do. this doesn't affect me but I thought I'd mention it..
