David Sierakowski has apparantly retired from Football (10 news).

Was always going to happen but best of luck to him in the future all the same.

No surprise, but I would love to have seen what he would have been able to do if he didn't do his knee.

When we got him to the club he was a top line recruit, and could have been very valuable. Unfortunate injury at the wrong time, and could never crack it back into the 22.

He will continue to be a very good player at Subi.

All the best to him-

wasn't half as bad as some people liked to make out, just did his knee at precisely the wrong time, and never really recovered. Glad he could get a few games towards the end of the year, and play in our final before he hangs up his boots.

A good career, the guy had a lot of heart and I respect that. Good luck to him in the future.

Best of luck for the future David. Pity he will always be remembered as a Saint rather than an Eagle. (Which means pity he did not play more games for us)

He might not have ever gotten a premiership medal, but he's had the experience of playing in a GF which is something a lot of players never achieve.

Good on you Siera, all the best for the future.

cheers Seira.

while never a top line player he came in handy in times of need and was great to have around the club.

Not very suprised of his decision to retire. I think Sierakowski had a fair bit of pressure when the Eagles drafted him, as he was seen to be our new CHF and key forward target after Gehrig left the club. I can still remember that gutless act by King in Rd 1 that ended his Eagles career before it even started.

Enjoy your retirement from AFL - would be nice to see Siera play for Subiaco for another year (maybe try and win a premiership with Subiaco after they will go down to the mighty falcons). Btw Siera - your girlfriend is mighty hot!
