Shane Beros of Swan Districts has won the 2003 Sandover medal from Kris Miller (East Fremantle) and David Lucas (Subiaco).
Eagle Mark Seaby finished 4th on 29 votes.
Well done to them all and great to see the young Eagle right up there.
2 Gardys ?
mmmmm ;)

Judging from the first few minutes, you've probably saved me some pain.

The cream bubbles to the top.
Now all we have to do is produce some quality AFL talent, something we have lacked for at least a decade.

great to see Mark Seaby get up there, and from all reports he is set to be a gun. HAS to get some game time this year. If there is one critiscim of woosha, it wouldn't be the lack of game time for Collica, Lynch or Chambers, but IMO it would be the lack of inclusion of Seaby when Gardy and Cox have gone down at various times this year........
Seaby wasn't ready for AFL this year - He lacks the bulk of Lynch or Johnson and he would have been cannon fodder for some of the bigger, more experienced ruckmen.
But I'm really looking forward to seeing him debut next year

Yes congrats to Seabs, well and truly deserved it. 2 votes shy of equal second:P
He could have played 1-2 games this year but equally its been well worth his while not playing. He'll be set next year though, watch out AFL!

Deliberate decision taken by the club to protect Seaby from damage that might shorten his career. Talk to Collingwood fans abot the young Josh Fraser in the ruck. While Seaby has carried West Perth's ruck alone for most of the season, it has told late on as he looks exhausted.
On another subject, the AFL need to change the ruck rule before it's too late and ruckmen are seriously damaged.

Didn't realize it was a delibate decision, but I guess it's a good one when you think about it..........i'll eat my words from above.
But i still would've like to see him given a run in the forward line for our team. A guy of his height, and obvious skill, makes for a very hard match up for the opposition......
Perhaps he is that forward/ruckman option that I feel we really need, because having two specialist ruckman is a waste of talents IMO.....

Hence the logic of trading Cox, but let's not open that Pandora's Box again.
Lynch also ended up about 6th or something on 25 votes. Not a bad effort for someone who spent alot of time in defense.
