I know what you are thinking... Soccer board.

But do any of you look on that board all the time? I have already posted something like this on the Adelaide board.

Question is... at the end of the AFL/SANFL seasons, would any of you Port Adelaide supporters get behind Adelaide United?

It's probably the only game other than basketball that I can think of to keep myself going until football gets back in full swing.

The NFL fills the gap nicely.

I used to go to the City/Force games, but having lived in England and being an avid Portsmouth supporter the atmosphere just didn't do it for me (too much from those bloody trumpets).
Nothing will ever be anywhere near as good as being in the crowd at Fratton Park every other weekend, but the Power goes some way to filling that gap!:)

Tough............Soccer board. And in answer to your Q, no. Australian teams are the dullest in the world.

I'll be attending as many games as possible, and hope to purchase one of the home strips as soon as they hit the shelves.

No.

Only been to one soccer game West Ham v ??? ina ??? semi final a few years ago. I don't think the australian version would be a patch on that so i'll give it a miss.

Over summer it's cricket & basketball (although it looks like the sixers are going to stink big time!).

I was hoping to find some patriotic people who would get behind their state in any sporting code... not that I haven't found any here.

Who cares if our version of the game of soccer doesn't measure up to the standard the rest of the world has set?

So how about a bit of support for the new team here... no matter what the standard?

I haven't been to a NSL game since the Sharks folded. I'll definitely be supporting Adelaide United although to be honest I don't expect to see great things in their first season.

I love AFL but soccer is the world game and I'm never going to see my favourite footy players wearing the green and gold (apart from the bastardised sport they play once a year against the Irish).
