Nathan Brown
Lindsay Gilbee
Jordon McMahon
Nathan Eagleton

I won't insult you with any of our fringe/mediocre/crap players.
I am assuming the club sticks to its word and holds on to picks 1,4 and 19 so any picks after that can be used for sweeteners.

Interesting that you placed Lindsay Gilbee on your list, as, IMO, I'd think closely about the trade proposed in last week's Herald-Sun of Trent Croad for Linsday Gilbee and pick 19. Gives us a KPP that can play at either end, and even though we have to give up an early pick, it may be worth it. Interested to see what others think

pick 5 + Lamb for Brown.
Lamb for McMahon.
Wheatley for Eagleton.

Probably want something a bit stronger than Lamb - perhaps Carroll and/or Smith with pick 5 - seems to be more potential with these two. Perhaps even Jamar

no to all of the above.

For Eagleton you would probably have to deal someone like Robertson, maybe Green.

Lamb will probably only fetch a player like Wiggins. That could work for both players.

For Brown, pick 3 would have to be in the deal along with something better than Lamb. Pick 5!

Thinking about it again, might'nt be all that bad actually. Could be able to draft Cooney, Bradley and Farren Ray

Tough to knock that back.

Might need to up the player slightly to ward off competition, especially if Carlton goes with the Pick #2 +....

But if that's the best offer at trade week, then I'd take it.

Lamb for McMahon.

Interesting.

McMahon has struggled a little bit, but if he went up for trade, I'm confident that they'd get more than Lamb.

Dogs will take a punt on the delistable Molan for sure, so why not make a package deal?

Brown + McMahon + 4th rounder for Pick 5 + Lamb + Molan + 2nd rounder?

I'm not sure how highly you guys rate Molan - if you still think he's a big shot at making it, then adjust that 2nd rounder to a 3rd rounder. If he's delistable like everyone makes out, then it's a fair deal.

Brown is a dead set star, and I see it as Pick 5 + Lamb, as lamby already mentioned. A little thin for the Bulldogs perhaps thus far, but Molan + a 2nd rounder for McMahon + 4th rounder evens things up. McMahon is very talented, but the 2nd Rounder alone is close to what he is worth.

Wheatley for Eagleton.

Four months ago, yes!

Now, mmmm, nah.

Eagleton has gone from dud to destructer in 2003. He won't be traded unless an outrageously one-sided deal can be arranged.

I rate Wheatley though, I think he's got a lot to offer.

Good post Lamby, well done.

Not sure why Jordan McMahon's name keeps getting mentioned as trade bait...by the end of the season he had started tackling & chasing to add to his fantastic skills and as soon as his body fills out he is going to be one star player.

And on other threads Sam Power's name has been mentioned a couple of times. No way known is he going. He will be a taller version of his brother Luke in a couple of years time.

Lindsay Gilbee & Nathan Eagleton will be the most likely to go...hopefully Nathan Brown stays but I believe the Bulldogs would be looking at a high draft pick within the trade package.

Hahaha. Pass.

Carlton can have Brown, would much rather target a player like Mark Johnson or Simon Goodwin, especially at the price you think you will get for him.

How does that work?

He gets taken at 10, plays 30 games in his first 2 years, every bit lives up to the expectations, and now he's worth pick 20?

People severly overestimate the value of draft picks.

To trade for an unknown 17 y.o. carries an enormous risk. You might get a player that doesn't even play a senior game.

Of course, if you get really lucky, you might get a player as good as Jordon McMahon.

McLean, Ray, Clarke, Moody, Dunn - they're all champions now. I wonder what we'll be saying about them in 5 years time?

Kent Kingsley for Pat Bowden?
Pick 7 and Bartel for Brown and Faulkner.

Thought Bartel was going to be de-listed or be pre-season draft material!
Pick 7 wouldn't quite be enough for Brown alone (Carlton or Melbourne with 2 or 5 are ahead in those stakes), and the raps for Faulkner before he got injured were big.
No way.

Kingsley - Bowden
as mentioned on bulldogs board not sure about this one, but I'd possibly be tempted.

We can't really give up a tall even if is in return for another tall. Bowden has potential...with a good preseason...building up his strength and fitness he should have a more consistent year next year.

Bowden is finally giving us something. His second efforts need work and his defensive skills are lacking but I would be surprised if his name was put up.
Cameron Faulkner hasn't played senior footy yet but there is an air of excitement about the boy.
We are picking up Cooney, Bartel is not a priority.

Kinsgley for Bowden - Not sure, need to think more about it.

Pick 7 and Bartel for Brown and Faulkner - Not going to happen, bub. As SCRAY72 said, the wraps on Faulkner are huge, along the lines of "next Andrew McLeod".

Throw something else up. Brown and maybe Cross
