Is looking old and sluggish and is out of contract this year.

he has no trade value
i suspect they will offer him a very small contract. could possibly nominate for the draft, but he really doesn't deserve a big deal, so i think he should accept whatever the club offers him.

No value. Nobody wanted him or Mercuri when they were offered a couple years ago.
Misiti has another year in him, most likely off the bench.

Will he qualify for the vets list ? If he does we may as well keep him if only half his wage counts. Still think he is some value with a good preseason, but would like to see our younger blokes step up.

mercuri and hird will be going on the veterans list though. misiti can go on too, but i don't think we would be saving as much money if 3 players went on the veterans list, as two-thirds of their salaries would count under the salary cap, as opposed to half if it was just hird and mercuri.
and i agree, i think he has a role to play off the bench next year

Change of scenery would do him the world of good.
Me thinks that playing consistently on Telstra Dome has shortened his career considerably.
Perhaps down at Hawthorn. Misiti, Crawford and Mitchell....pretty good midfield if you ask me.
