I see the eagles have let troy "the hitman" wilson go
Who will draft him?
Worth a go I say - we will have him at the doggies. Perfect partner for Nathan 'the sharpshooter' Brown

Yeah big Troy wants to race cars this summer - "like real fast ya knooow..."
Go Troy !
Seriously though, I doubt any team would pick him up - at a stretch the Blues or the Dogs I guess - but I do seriously doubt that.

for an old bloke he's in pretty good nick. he doesn't drink or smoke and he has avoided most of the wear and tear most alf players have by being late on the scene. his problem is that he is one dimensional.

The other problem is bad knees!

Troy's problem is that he is an average footballer and not the smartest cookie in the jar.
Why waste a draft pick on him?

Wilson was quoted as saying he wouldn't mind playing in the backline.
He can kick the footy straight, but has been ordinary for the Eagles for the last couple of seasons.
I can't see him playing senior footy in 2004.

I really doubt Wilson would get picked up by anyone - he was virtually useless for us this year, and with ageing another year will only get worse.
But i would hate to see his career finished in that way, and would love to see him get picked up somewhere else.
The most likely of any clubs to pick him up would be the Bulldogs - big bodies are something they need, even if he only played 3-4 games with them, he could have a good impact on the training track.

If Lynch retires he could find a home @ Brisbane while we develop a replacement.

A viable option.
Brisbane's style of play, that opens up the Forward line may suit Troy. TW only has about one or two seasons in him before age catches up with him, which should gives the Lions some breathing space to either recruit a young forward, or promote a younger player on their list into FF.

Definitely, I guess it just depends if Lynchy hangs up the boots or not.

Surely he will be going cheap?
Perfect replacement for Lynchy.
Plus we have Willowbank raceway up here...he can drag and rev all he wants.

Of course he will come cheap LionZRTheKingZ, he has been delisted! All it will take to grab him would be a pick in the pre-season draft, as I don't think anyone would want to use one of thier later National Draft picks on him.
Them slap him a 1yr contract that he has to accept on the base award wage that an AFL player recieves. Not sure what that is annually ($35,000 perhaps?), but it is pretty small but still decent amount for a drafted player.

This topic is worthy of debate.
Nobody.
