This season’s Sea Fm Premier League Grand final will see North Hobart and Hobart battle out for the flag for the first time in Southern Football League history. The last time that these two sides played off for a premiership was in 1992 in the Statewide League when North Hobart was successful under the coaching of Mark Yeats while Hobart was coached by Mark Browning.

SFL general manager Noel Morrison said today “The result of yesterdays Preliminary Final has given our Grand Final a breath of fresh air. We now have four of the seven premier league clubs participating on Grand Final Day. It is not beyond our expectations to have a crowd of between 7000 and 8000 people supporting their sides. We would hope that the patrons that experienced the level of SFL finals football at Bellerive last week will come along and enjoy the experience of SFL finals football. Many people will remember the atmosphere that can be generated at North Hobart Oval with such a large and enthusiastic crowd”.
