I'm hereby protesting the possible trade of Port Power's Nick Stevens to Essendon.

After watching his games against Adelaide, Sydney and Essendon, I have come to the conclusion that Stevens is the 2nd most softest player in the AFL (behind W@nkermanis). He might have a touch of speed, but we need more players who are willing to put their head over the ball, not sit out the back of a pack and get someone else to do all the work.

We need a pacy midfielder who is willing to put their body on the line to get the ball.

Maybe we can close Mark Johnson instead....:D

MJ is an honest tough footballer. He will never be a star midfielder. Although i think he would be an all-australian back pocket.

I'm a bit like sheeds in that i prefer to build our own. I think winderlich , walsh , watson will all be very good midfielders for us very soon.

Message to sheeds:

DRAFT RICKY DYSON

He will solve the fast skilled midfielder problems we supposedly have

Tell us more about Ricky Dyson.

Is he ready to step straight into the seniors?

Yeah he probably could. He is about 184 cms. Left footer from epping. Plays for the Northen Knights. Thumping kick. good pace and uses the ball beautifully. All-Australian this year at the under 18 championships. Very much like a ramanauskas in the way he plays. He will probably go in the first round and might just slip to us. You put him, harvey, winderlich, walsh and reynolds into our team over the next couple of years and we go from slow to lightning....very exciting

No, drafting an 18 year old kid will not solve our problems for at least 2 years. Trade Jacobs/fringe player (except Hunt) and pick 28 for Brown.
Then use the first pick for Dyson if you must.

I've already given you my opinion. This is what the afl website said about him

27 Ricky Dyson Northern Knights Aug 28, 85 181 cm 75 kg

Medium, outside forward/midfielder with pace. Penetrating left foot kick who is dangerous from outside 50. Has leadership qualities and sets example through high work ethic. Member AIS-AFL Academy in 2002. All-Australian U/18 in 2003. From Epping FC.

Exactly what we need. Or somebody similar to him would be great. Pick 13 is a decent pick and we usually use our picks very well
