just wondering what the chances are of Essendon putting him up for trade??

At the Eagles, I'd suggest we'd be very interested in picking him up as we are short of one KP defender.

what would be something that would entice the Bombers into agreeing to a trade, and just as important what is Jacobs approximate salary and his willingness to come to WA?

Jacobs is likely to be used as trade bait to secure a top midfielder. a fast skillful midfielder would be the minimum asking price you would think

Don't think he'd want to go, but you never know - I don't know the bloke, doubt anyone on here does. Maybe on around $140-150K, yet would now be worth $200K.

Trade for Daniel Kerr or 1st round pick.

essendon need some pacey midfielders, do you have any of them, preferably young victorian ones?

we have Judd ;) he's young, victorian, and I think he's pretty quick :)

hmmm, Braun fits that bill, but he's not exactly young, and not as much trade value as Jacobs, so I doubt you guys would be interested.

Fletcher could be on the cards, but I wouldn't be keen on accepting Jacobs for Fletcher in a straight swap. You guys may not rate him overly highly but I can assure you he would've been very close to AA when he went down with injury.....

if Wirrpunda doesn't sign soon than things may heat up with him, but once against I don't know if I'd like to agree to Wirrpunda-Jacobs straight swap, but I'd be more inclined to do that trade than Fletcher-Jacobs, although we're than left with little in our defence.

hmmm, interesting...

nah we really could do with getting someone who is more established.

We've got plenty of developing guys up forward - Johnson, Staker, Hansen, Lynch, McDougall and a few down back - Gaspar, Glass, but we don't have much that's established just yet....which is what we're looking for.

Don't you worry I rate Fletcher very, very highly. I'd definitely take him for Jacobs, should Fletcher be out of contract. Only problem is his pace ( I don't know how good it is). Don't want Wirrpuna, he is a defender, Essendon have made mistakes trying to turn defenders into midfielders this year (eg McPhee, Solomon). Nothing wrong with the ability of these blokes its just that they are not natural midfielders with ball-getting ability. Having said that, we didn't have much choice

Daniel Kerr

Who went at Number 18 in the 2000 Draft

And we took James Davies at 16...sheesh...

Kerr for Jacobs. Done Deal. We'll throw in Davies as a sweetener.

no Kerr was definetaly taken at 18 - don't know where Davies was.

On Fletcher, he's not a speedstar as such, but he is quick, and his close to the fittest player on our list, so in the latter stages of a match is where he is at his best.

i'd like wirrpunda
fletcher is good too. seen him live a few times though, wasn't too impressed with his disposal.
may just have been a bad couple of games though.
