This weekend saw the Suns play their third home game on the actual Gold Coast, so the NRL did as they are doing this year to fight the expansion team and had their home team play there as well a couple of hours later.
Despite playing the Western Bulldogs, who - no offence intended - are hardly a massively supported club nor particularly successful (especially this year), the Suns still managed to outdraw the other code's local team to the tune of 16,149 to 12,997.
The numbers of bums on seats is by no means the only fight that the Suns & Giants need to win in order to survive and thrive, but getting dominance in this critical area so soon is surely a great sign for both their future & that of GWS.
Any opinions?
