What do you think would he be an asset.

He has a chance of providing something considering we lack forward crumbers and a touch of the mercurial at times BUT ..... the chances of him failing in a struggling rebuilding side are extremely high IMO and as he won't be around to come through the other side when we get back on track again, there is no point in drafting him.
We do need experienced, middle aged bodies at the club to help the kids but I would prefer a solid 100 gamer than a hit and miss type player.

I think he'd do a job for us short-term, but realistically he's not someone that will be around when the Blues are actually contenders again so it'd quite pointless in that regard.
I won't complain if they draft him though as he would be a decent pickup, as long as he doesn't stop a youngster from coming through.

Great pickup he would be imo. Was never giving a go at Melbourne. He would love it too. He would love crumbing to the likes of Whitnall and Fevola.

forget moorcroft too many limitations
Cant stand the little prick, annoys the **** out of me, but if he is cheap, willing to prove his worth and play with pride for our club, well then why not.

I'd rather take a punt on no name at 80-odd, from what we have seen he has little defensive skills, plays primarily up forward, & we have enough guy's that can play or develop in that posi already.
I'd rather hunt down a key defender if available - but lets hope we dont settle for Paxman.

I was a fan of his but after THAT mark it all went downhill. He is not consistent enough to play week in and week out IMO.
One thing in his favour for you guys: He wants to be a Blue. He should perform well in the first half of the season for you. That can make a difference to confidence for the younger guys. After that some senior ppl will need to step up and drive the team by willpower.

Moorcroft to Carlton ?????
No thanks !!! Next option please ????
He might be of some value to you, but I wouldn't have massive expectations. Had some hamstring troubles, but did play some very good VFL games.
I'd get him, but only if the cost was ultra low.
Red would be a good pick up. Hard at it. No opportunity at Melbourne.
Surely he's worth a punt if, as already stated in this thread, if we can get him cheap and around the 70-80's in the draft.
Pagan wanted him last year and he would have been there. that's until Melbourne jumped at the last minute.
He's worth a punt, if only for the fact he can be used in a midfield rotation...... which is what we lack this year.

Looks rough? That makes him a thug? Also stealing something makes you a thief not a thug.
