Don't get me wrong I ONCE was a big fan of this guy but he has an attitude NOW and wants to be greedy but hey thats no probs man just half the world is so you may as well join em JADE.

What jacks me off is this stick of a man was laughed at for years
at hawthorn he looked like he was going to be nothing yet we developed him just like we did with Chick and trent and they all decised to **** off too. There was talk even some years back he'd be a captain so what has gone so terriby wrong? Well we all know but I just think his character is seriously lacking to walk away after all these years.I think its bloody shallow stuff.

Hey be greedy like the whole world is anyway what does it matter that the hawks developed and believed in him what the **** does it matter it matters to nobody. Hang ya head in shame rawlings if you go your knees will get you anyway.Hope Geelong has a good time rehabilitating you.;)

1. Rawlings owe's us nothing.

2. He hasn't gone yet.

3. Grow up.

Why shouldn't he ask for an extended contract when the likes of his peers are on similar or better (i.e more money) when he has been better performed than the majority of the list for the past three seasons?

The club (and more important, whoever was in charge of drawing up past contracts.. ) is at fault. Not the player.

Leighton has come in, has to fix up the mess and unfortunately Jade's the one copping the proverbial 'rock and a hard place' squeeze. If someone came to any of us offering a certain further years employment (and that is basically what it is.. a job) AND at an higher pay rate, how many of us would knock it back?

Jade wants (and who can blame him) the security of that extra year. HFC seems unwilling to meet it. It's an impass atm.

Hopefully it resolves itself so that he remains, if not, thanks for the great service Jade, you deserved better (considering what we are paying 'imports'... ) treatment than what your currently getting.

To actively wish him injury before he's gone though? So I guess Holland, Barker, Thompson and Hay are all suffering for looking at options in the past and now paying for that sin?

1. Has Rawling came out and said he will not play for Hawthorn next season: NO

2. Just because some so called experts come out in the media and say that Jade is gone does not make it so.

3. Trent DUD Croad never left the club, it was the club which got rid of Croad.

If Jade goes then he goes no point getting upset over it. If he wants to go then it will be up to the club to get the best possible deal for him.

I still think there is a big chance that Jade will end up staying.

Grendel I think we all have grown accustomed to babycakes' 'bull-at-a-gate", innovative opinions

Secondly

I dont think Jade will leave. He has every right to look around and tread the waters of other clubs. Deep down, I dont think he has the heart or desire to leave the club that he is passionate about.

I think lots of Hawthorn supporters need to bear with each other through this time. Everyone doesnt see as logically as you do Grendel. They only see a great player going to another club for financial reasons. It makes people angry - of course it does. Jade took a while to develop but the club perservered with him. Of course now, it isnt Jade's fault that poor housekeeping is at the sufferance of the players.

However babycakes, you dont wish misfortune onto another player. They are human afterall.

If he goes - good luck to him. But if he did go, I couldnt see him going to a top eight side. If he perhaps wants to taste finals again, he should stay with us.

If he did want to Leave what would we want (have to take or put him in the draft) from Geelong?

Pick/s. Geelong haven't anything we need (offering Bartel and Spriggs on the trade board). We already have more than enough similar types (try getting that message through to the Cats fans though...).

1st rounder and shoot for the 2nd rounder to boot (probably wouldn't get it). No more bloody off-cuts/depth players though. Go for some promising kids (even if we used the like on Doug Scott/Kenna.. maybe Shane Tuck even).

Probably 1st round pick would be about right though.

Can't he nominate for the pre-season draft.

Not unless he wants to go to Carlton and have his reputation ruined by greed. Jade's a good guy, he won't screw the club, even if he chooses to leave.

And his wife to be is HOT!!!!!! How she can be the sister of Richo is scary. Must be adopted.

I fear Jade will be leaving Hawthorn, coz everything seems to have gone quiet. If talks were ongoing wouldn't we have heard something? While I never believed he would go up until now, I'm starting to feel uneasy. Anyone know what the story really is ?
If he goes, I'll wish him all the best.

I'm not a Hawks fan but am definitely an admirer of Rawlings. I think he's a better mark than Tarrant or Tredrea, a great kick and a very versatile player.

I can assure you that there is no shortage of clubs that would be willing to give him a better deal than what's on offer at the Hawks. The HFC have to pull their finger out if they want to keep him.

You get the feel Jade really wants to stay with Hawthorn, so hopefully his loyalty to the club will be more important than a few extra dollars.

Just an idea here and you don't have to take it at all personally.

Why don't you write Jade a letter, telling him how much you like him as your favourite player.

I am sure if you encourage him, he will sign up for Hawthorn. Just give him some more time.
