Now Malthouse said King may make his debut in the grand final (afl.com.au), I think he is a good chance after numerous strong preformances with Willy this year
He provides another option out of defence, and even more speed to the side together with Lokan, Shaw, Lonie etc. IMO He will replace Davis as the other guys have probably secured their spots already.
Unfortunately if that is the case guys like Williams and Betheras will miss out
I would rather have King in the team than Lokan.

Lokan stitched up Wanganeen.
He's played all year, I'd have a seasoned player in my side.

Highly unlikely, wouldn't think a player could make his debut on grandfinal day, I know it has been done before but I very much doubt it...Wouldn't surprise me if they bring Freeborn back in though

No way!!! That is cuel by mick, raising the lads hopes like that. His inclusion would make no sense at all. We cant bring him in for Rocca, unless he is a gun forward. Who will he come in for??
Lokan- Too good to drop, has done everything thats been asked of him
Shaw-very incosistant but has a good solid season and is very exciting, grand final day would be a good day to shine.
Davis-5 kicks for 3 goals, exactly what micky expected. Leon was lucky to break in but it would be very silly to drop him after that performance.
Kinnear-HAd a terrific game, has been playing good footy, he is tall and is the lowest chance to be dropped of the blokes mentioned.
Lonie- been alright all year, nothing special. He has played a lot of footy, but Mick has showed that he doesnt worry about dropping guys that have worked their ass off all year.(williams)
Cole-Before last week i would have used my own boot to kick him out but last week, like the pies, as just too good.
Scotland-No WAY!!!
Conclusion------ Stupidity would place King in the side, smart coachin would propose such stupidity. Another of micks off putin tactics, and seriously has no chance. If Rocca is suspended then we need another tall to put in, or another forward. He doesnt comply with either and molloy will be the main candidate. Mick could be relying on Benny Kinnear to fill the CHF position for a full game and that would definately give Kingy a chance. But if so, then King still shouldnt get a game. Rupe,McKee,Molloy,Williams or Freeborn should then get a game.

Brenton I dont think Mick would do that. He would have spoken to David and told him he would be throwing his name around but he wont be inn the side.

I hope Mick selects him for Roccas replacement. I have watched David play alot of VFL games this year and he is a Talent. The next Nathan Buckley IMO.

I don't think they were talking about David King as a replacement for Anthony Rocca, just that he was in the mix for selection.
Don't forget that Mick has a horses for courses policy. He may not play Davis because the last couple of times he's played against Brisbane he's played badly. He decides the side based on the opposition and playing conditions as well as form.
There's probably about ten blokes who played for Williamstown last week plus 21 of the 22 players who played for us last week (excluding Rocca assuming his suspension is upheld) who would be considered for selection this week.

Obviously still a long way to go, but I agree that it is possible
He is in form, has played very well for Williamstown, and as MM said he is mentally prepared for the big games as well :)
Future Collingwood champion!
I expect him to play all the games in the Wizzer Cup and play seniors later in the year.
He has got heaps of speed and goes at it hard.
C'mon now, Buckley may well be the best player we have had in over 100 years and King may be the next Buckley? The probability is about as high as Ben Kinnear winning the Norm Smith Medal. I would be delirious if both happened but frankly I wouldn't back it with counterfeit money.

King will be selected, but will not play.
